At TuttoFood Milano 2023 we anticipated the new traceability service of the artisan supply chain via blockchain

There couldn’t have been a better scenario than TuttoFood for the preview launch of a new service. This is the tracking of the artisan supply chain via blockchain, implemented with the “TrackIT blockchain” project of the ICE Agency.

Thanks to the selection within the “TrackIT blockchain” project of the ICE Agency – the Government Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies, Casa Iuorio is able to carry out the tracking of the production chain with blockchain technology.

What does it mean for the consumer and for the company?

For us at Casa Iuorio this is a very significant milestone – say the owners of the company in Palomonte, in the province of Salerno. Thanks to this service, we will be able to guarantee greater transparency on the artisanal production processes, on the raw materials and on the processes, thus contributing to generating greater trust on the part of the final consumer and a better positioning on a market that is increasingly demanding in terms of certifications and recognition of Made in Italy“.

The service has a very simple interface: it looks like a QR code affixed to the jar label. A mobile phone is enough to access in real time to a large amount of information on the product purchased and, on the company, creating a direct communication channel towards the market to show one’s added value and increase trust in the company.
